I was going to add a new topic, but my problem is very similar to sush's problem. Yet, with my problem the computer does'nt restart but instead it completely freezes. At the beginning the Radeon would say there was a VPU problem so I disabled the VPU and the problem continued. Still, what is even more perplexing is that I have had my radeon for months now and had no problems, and the problems are coming on two old games I just started playing again: Deus Ex and Medieval Total War. I have checked my memory and it is had no errors on any of the tests, I have updated the drivers, I've added Omega drivers, I've lowered my settings in the games and all to no avail. If you any of you could help me at all with any suggestions it would be much appreciated.
Here are some of my specs Abit NF7-s Mobo, 512 mb, Athlon 1800 Yondai |

Hi guys,
First up, thanks for all the help. Now, there is no option to turn off HT in my motherboard. I have looked all over my bios. So, I got a P IV 1.8Ghz which does not support HT. I put it on, and the same thing happened again. Then I put the 3.2Ghz back and tried again with all the settings down to nothing. Now my games work fine. I have set the hardware acc. to the least level above where it will not disable all directx applications. I have set my AGP speed in the card properties on the desktop to Off instead of 4x or 8x. And the fast write is off. Also there is no problem with my device manager or any driver. But the problem still exists. As far as the memory is concerned, I will try to check that today. I have reinstalled the drivers upteen times Thanks again guys Sush |

It might sound stupid, but check your graphic card cooling, if it only happens when you try to play, it might as well be overheating. Again, did you checked the termic paste on the cpu?
Use this to test your mems http://oca.microsoft.com/en/windiag.asp If nothing works, start asking your friends to lend their cards/mems/psus to start testing individualy!

Check you front panel connectors that connect to your mobo. And also the power cables. I had this problem before. My computer made some sounds and it froze. Graphic card should not cause this and Hyper Threading too. Hardware can cause this problem.(Sound card, memory, other small devices)
