No. i HAVE 160 Gigs and it said that in the Bios and when i formated it. Also there was Question and answer section in PC Gaer Mag and the guy said you need SP1 and gave instructions how to get those gigs back. My friend bought a 200 gig and it only shows 130,hmm coincidence ;) NO. Damn need to find that mag. I cant even access the windows update web site in safe mode dammit.

Most bios only recognize 120 gigs without a card. You have to use a card to get the full space above that. Even then hds are not exactly what they say. My 250 is really 232. There is a way to change that but it is very hard

uninstall virtual deamon or any other virtual drive app

if your kernal aint the right 1. reset your bootscreen to the proper 1, if that dont work, you have to uninstall windowblinds. or any other theme program

I guess NXS you dont know everything. If you want the instructions how to get your part of HD i will give it to you. Did you have SP1 on your Windows XP Cd? If yes than you got the hole hard drive.
Here's what he said:
To people installing fresh copy of Windows: If your XP disc already has Service Pack 1 on it, and you decide to install Windows on a system with larger than 137 GB drives, Windows will recognize your complete disk volume(s) from very start. It's only if you've got an older-version install disc without SP1 that you'll need to follow the procedure detailed above.
My 43 gigs are invisible right now. I need to install the damn SP1.

You are right! I don't know everything! I do know however, damn near anything above 120gb hd does require a controller card. I never update XP and this thread is why. There is no reason to
