I just downloaded Sp1 and when it starts installing it says "atapi.sys is being used by othe aplications." W00t?! What programs are using this.I remember i got this message before long time ago. So what do i have to do? Plz i need help and fast.

start your system on safe mode (F5) and install it there

Could you elaberate a little. When to press f5? Network doesnt work in safe mode i think.

LOL, actually i wouldn#t recommend any of the Sps. Just download the windows fixes that you need. there is to much junk commin with th SPs. SP2 is worthless.

Actually, press F8 before it gets to the screen with the Xp logo on it.
