ok im having problems with IE (internet explorer, but im sure you knew that..lol) its running insanely slow, and i mean slow, on my task manager thing my connection speed doesnt even reach 1%, now the thing is, when i use gamespy arcade, my pings and connection work fine, and when i use mozilla my connection works fine, nice and fast like its suposed to be, but for some reason IE wont work at all (well it does but takes like 10 mins for a page to load) so its not my ISP as it works for everything else except IE, so im guessing its IE or something...but what is it? is IE just buggered?

anyway, on another note, i have this file in my program files folder called "TV media" it wasnt there before, i didnt download it and i cant delete it, iv removed it from my PC with "add/remove programs" but its still in my god damn "program files" when i delete it (or rather try to) i get a message saying its being used by another person or program, but it isnt listed in my processes...its really stressing me out, its not a big file, and its not the reason for my slow IE but when shit gets put on my PC without my permission it kinda pisses me off...how can i deleate it..cheers

and thats about it, any help would be great, specially for the IE problem..cheers.

seems to be a problem related to either dialer, spyware or adware.

I would recommend downloading Adaware & Spybot Search & Destroy and
the newest signatures for them and then run a check with them,
maybe one of them finds the "TV..thingie and deletes it.

otherwise use start-->execute-->msconfig and go to the tab systemstart
or something like that and check for unusal entries related to the suspicious folder
and uncheck so it doesn´t load oon startup.

Apart from that I wouln´t happen to have any idea.

i tried both and no luck fixing IE, but i finally got rid of TVmedia...i got another problem now tho...this is a long running one iv had....anyway, i use nortons antivirus, i did a system scan and it found 26 "at risk" items, yet it cant actually fix them, it just says delete failed, its done this ever since i got the thing..so basically i have an anti virun that says i have a virus/adware/spyware etc, but cant do anything about it, anyone know why it cant delete the files, one of them is called TVupdater (i believe linked to TV media) yet i cant get rid..im dieing here, i get rid of one thing and more crap springs up, any help would be greatly recieved.

oh and IE sprung into action a bit ago when i used MSN but now has died again...im having to resort to mozilla, which as good as it is, isnt as good as IE (imo) it probably would be but it doesnt have all the thinkgs IE has, cant play videos on quicktime etc...im missing the watch-a-me-call-its

Mozilla full is great, but a little complex for some people.

If ur a nooby who loves IE. try firefox. it plays the quicktime movies.

IE doesn't have toolbars, themes, extensions, popupblockers(until ShitPack2). or most importantly Tabed browsing. if u have a 3-4 or more btuton mouse, tabed browsing is get. Middlemouse opens new tab windows, really quick.

okay i think i have the problem if you are connected to LAN in your protocol you should have a default gateway set to something thats connected to your router but if you have another connection which also has a default gateway when it shouldn't will actually time out the internet conection
