Hard Drive help

I have 2xWD Raptors Raid-0 thats 73.4 gigs but windows reads it
68.9 gigs compacity.

you always lose 7-9Gigs after formating.

nope, it's 'cause the hdd manufactureres label their hdd's with 1000 bits calculation instead of 1024.
makes my 160 gb sata only 156gb real storage.

(160/1024*1000) and that's what windows says.

(atleast i think so, feel free to prove me wrong)

You are right. All hard drives are off from what they say. 20 is actually 18.something my 250 is actually 232 tis just the way it goes

lets say they round up so they dont have the hassle of naming hdd's weird names.....17.83gb hdd! only 20 bucks..... 214gb hdd only xx dollars, etc....

hmm...I got a 120 gig and it says 111gig. i got one 250 Gig and it says 238 something gig.....something doesn't work out here. Oh, these are what's left after instalation of OS.
