Far Cry 1.1 Patch Help!

hi,
I have Far Cry full version.
I have downloaded the v1.1 Patch for Far Cry.
When i try to install it, it gives me an error before starting the installation :

"The installer could not find a previous installtion of Far Cry.
Please install the game first and then patch it!"

something like that.

Please help in fixing this problem.
Do i need to add any registry key throught "Regedit" to fix it ( or something else ).

Please help me with this problem.
Help would be appreciated.
I m so confused

Also tell me does this patch speed up the game? B)

Sounds to me like you have a downloaded version of the game. And we dont do warez here!

ehm yeah but NXs wasn't there like a problem with the 1.1patch?
or did they fixed that by now?

I am not sure thats why it is not locked

Maybe you installed it onto a different directory and not the default ubisoft/farcry directory ?

have you installed windows recently and the games was still installed?
the you lost all your registry keys, could be the problem.
try it simpy with installing the game again and run the patch right after.
