hmm, that's pretty weird.. does your pc let you play other new games?
I think he has an onboard card, or he did not install drivers for the card.

Can you ask the man from whom you bought the PC or any thing that would tell you your PC details and spec, especially the graphic card.

From that point we can help you , but first get the info ;)

i suspect it's her video card, because if the drivers hadn't been installed then windows wouldn't be much fun to use, but who knows...

OK so let us make it step by step:

1st level: go to "My Computer" on the left side you will see a bunch of tasks like "System Tasks" ,"Other Places" and "Details" under the "System Tasks" chose "view system information" - you will see a new window named " System Properties" (see next level)

2nd level: By default you will see the "General" settings that shows you the "System" , "Registered to" and "Computer"
Please write down what does it says in the "Computer". (All in the same "page")

3rd level: In the upper side of this window chose "Hardware" and in the middle you will see "Device Manger" click it and a new window should appear. (See next level)

4th level: In the "Device Manager" you will see a bunch of sub-subjects which can be open by pressing the + (plus symbol) near each subject, scroll down to "Display adapters" and expend the subject by pressing the + next to it , a new subject will appear telling you exactly what Card you have , write it in your next post along side with the "Computer" information.

Now go do that

That's the point I have but i still haven't found anything close to working.Post if you can help anyone!!

Alright... control panel, display, settings, advanced, adapter. and tell us what it says. then we can help you.

Extract the DX9 stuff anywhere, then run the exe in it.
I don't have display settings on my control panel all i could find was display. Can i extract the dx9 on winzip ?? [/b][/quote]
Display is cool click on that icon.
Should bring up a box that says Display Properties.
(You can also do this by right clicking on your desktop and clicking on properties in menu)
Now click Settings tab> NOW click on Advanced. Then Adapter tab.
In other words Start>Setting>Control Panel>Diplay>Settings>Advanced>Adapter.

What does it say for Adapater type?
What does it say for Adapter Information?

If your getting somthing that metions Win Zip then if I recall Just click on unzip, may want to direct to desktop.

Anyway do Start>Setting>Control Panel>Diplay>Settings>Advanced>Adapter and we can also look at Device Manager, like GrimReaper metioned.
Only for 1st step you may want to Right click on MY Computer Icon on your desktop click Properties in menu. I say this because when I open My Computer I don't have those thing on the left side.

*EDIT*
I see I posted too late.

So no video card?

OK I'm back, now try this;
Right click My Computer>Properties>Device Manager>click on + next to Display Adapters.
Underneath Display Adapter should appear an icon with the name of your Video card.

Look at my post and do what I wrote and then post back.
You did not do what Reaper said you, need to go to Device Manger.

In other words with all due respect to GrimReaper ignor his 1st step and
Right click My Computer>Click on Properties in menu-Now follow GrimReapers 2nd, 3rd, and 4th steps.

I have a lot going on here at home so bare with me.

No, actually he/she did what I asked for and therefore i have good news , i found your pc ;)

With the information, you gave me, I was able to locate your pc and tell you the possible cards that you can have.

1: Integrated IntelĀ® Extreme Graphics 2
2: Optional: 128 MB GeForceĀ® FX 5200 graphics card (8X AGP) with TV out
3: Optional: 128 MB DDR ATIĀ® RADEONTM 9800 Pro graphics card with DVI and TV out

This concludes us that he/she has one of the cards listed above which in the case of having the Integrated IntelĀ® Extreme Graphics 2 could be a problem.

Here is the LINK for your PC, you may click on "Service & Support" to ask them exactly what hardware you got and even ask them the same question that we are trying to help you.

*For Fun :P :
Can you make up a test? (To help you off curse) install any graphical game that you may have or download a demo of some game and tell us if it worked (the game doesn't have to be DX 9.0 game)
