my agp is turned off, so i install my 4 in 1 drivers, only ot find that when i restarted my pc, after i installed them my pc would crash, and restart or a screen of corupt colours would apear instead.

i dunno wot to do.

i have a msi kt 400 mobo via chipset based.

my card is 9700 pro 128mb ati

my brother had the same problem but his was with a kv8-max3 and a 9600pro.everytime it would lock up after a few mins or when you tried to go in the display properties it would lock up.he just ended up geting a new mobo and works fine now.

i cant be stopped by reformating, i tryed that already, i have to install windows xp 4 times.

did you try installing the 4 in 1 drivers before any of you motherboard drivers or the graphics drivers?

did you download the new updated drivers from the motherboard website?.also check if your bios is configured right.

also one more thing does your comp lock up after or before you install the ati drivers?check in your bios and make sure that the fastwrite is on in your agp slot.

For your info all 4-in-1 users:

Most lock-ups post install are because you are running IDE devices that are non-DMA compliant. Try either removing legacy IDE devices or not installing the IDE Bus-Mastering Driver during setup.
