I had this problem too, until now.
Found a solution here:

http://www.agrreviews.com/modules/sections...ntpage&artid=12

I followed the instructions, and rebooted. Voila! MSN was gone, forever!
I hope this helps

OMG u got 2 pointy tits on that graph!

MSN messenger is simply uninstalled through the add remove programs!

Windows messenger, the one u'r bitchin about, is a little more tricky! U could find XP antispy and from there uninstall it or do a simple google search and find the following command to perform on the RUN box that sits on your start menu:

Code:
RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\inf\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove

Best way is change name of file C:\Program Files\Messenger\msmsgs.exe
I changed to 'msmsgs.exe1' and now it dosn't run
You can change name 'msmsgs1.exe' and put shortcut on desktop. Now it will not run if you dont run it manually.

Although I already solved the problem, Your suggestion is wrong; the msn messenger will not be uninstalled.

To uninstall messenger is easy. I was talking about windows messenger which is a bit more tricky, this program acts as a direct Microsoft messaging window which comes up when ever u connect to some sort of windows related programs and printers by the act of Microsoft that send you messages directly regarding some issues.
This program work regardless of msn messenger, it just has the same name "messenger" which it is what it is, a messenger for Windows the OS.
