So, I've been reading around the forums that quite a few people are having performance problems with this game. Some people with "slower" systems are getting high fps at high details, while some with high-end systems are getting pretty bad fps. Some get bad fps no matter what the resolution; some get good fps no matter what the resolution. Well, if anyone has problems/solutions here, post away.

Guys, here's something important that I thought I should share.
I've got a P4 2.0GHz processor and GeForce3 Ti200. Â*With these specs, I figured the Splinter Cell demo would scream. Â*But the image was flickering like crazy, framerates sucked, and I could see light sources through walls, doors, etc. Â*The light sources I saw may be the blue lights some people have seen. Solution: Â*I turned off antialiasing on my video card and all of these problems went away and the demo ran very well. Â*So give it a try. Â*I'd like to know if this works for other people as well. Also, if anyone knows why the hell this would happen, please post. Â*I figured the XBox version of Splinter Cell must be using antialiasing, but maybe they left it out of the PC version. Â*Mods, please copy to any relevant forums. |
