I recently bought doom3 and it looks lush, despite running off an ATI card (yes we all know the great nvidia/ati issue here but i wasn't gonna buy a new graphics card for a damn game) i have managed after some tinkering to get it running pretty smoothly...but there's one problem. at random points during play the game just closes down. just to give you some idea, i haven't even got to the 1st mission yet, so its a fair old problem. usually something like this would relate to a driver issue, but ive got the latest driver for the radeon9000 mobility in my laptop. i've patched the game with the v1.1 too. i don't know what to do.
can anyone please help? |

ya true!! whats the minimum system requirements for Doom3 i don't even remember looking at em..
my buddy has an ati 9200 and he can barely play halo (with graphics turned up). i wouldn't even try to play doom with an 9000 card......god damn |

[font=Times][size=7] i have had problems with doom 3 just shuting down during random times. but i think i got a pattern to it, it cuts off when a major event happens 4 me. like in the beginning when u have the boxes fall near u getting up 2 mars city. i have delt with this problem by simply saving after every corner i take pretty much. its annoying, but the game seems to run longer and not crash as much. i have made my way to Alpha Labs 4 with this proplem. 8)
