Radeon 9200 is within the specification, however I would stick to medium detail and a relatively low resolution.

Yes, it quite easy to find soundcard details out.

Start | Settings | Control Panel | Sounds and Audio Devices | Audio.

In terms of your CD/DVD-ROM...

Go here and download the Nero CD-DVD Speed v3.30, Put a Disc in the drive and let it run

CMONNNNNNNNN ............... why the hell does he/she need to check the speed of the cd?!?!?! the average speed is 48 ! Moreover, he/she said that the installation was complete! Ergo the CD rom is fine! Leave it.

About the drivers Go to ATI site and download the latest drivers for your card.

The sound card is not the problem here just install direct X 9.0c form Microsoft's site.

Amy was asking specific hardware related questions not related to the game, i.e.

Hey my name is Stace, I can help you with the Sims 2.
First all computers have Graphic Cards and you need to buy a Graphic Card that has the right sort of space for your computer. All computers have different Graphic Cards for different types of computers. Go to a computer ask about Graphic Cards and you will recieve a booklet. Choose which Graphic card you want and so on.
I hope this helps it worked for many of my friends.
Stace xx
