Hi

I am thinking about upgrading my rather old graphics card (GeForce 2). I do not have a lot of money to spend- about £100. I was wondering if anbody knew what a good buy would be.

Thanks

My advice is to save up just a little bit more and buy a Radeon 9800 pro. It's a top card which can handle new games and it's not too expensive.

deppends if your board is old or not, i have quite an old board and im thinkin of gettin a nvidia 5600 which is around £60. but my board is 4x graphics max. Blah for under £100 i'd get the Nvidia 256mb 5600 which if you look in the right places you will get it for quite cheap( im still looking ). good luck.

I wouldn't go for the 5600 if I were you @Psycho Pigeon :bucky!: but if you got no other chance go for the GeForce FX 5600 / Ultra (Rev.2/1) version it's the best from this card, DO NOT GO FOR THE SE/XT

Sorry I cannot help about the prices, but I can suggest you to buy an ATI 9500(Pro/"L") /9600(Pro/XT) or any of these cards by NVIDIA: GeForce FX 5900 ZT <> GeForce FX 5900 SE/XT <> GeForce FX 5900 <> GeForce FX 5900 Ultra <> GeForce FX 5950 Ultra with your current money. (Not sure about the ultra version being cheap enough)

Though I would rather keep that money and save some more for an ATI 9700(all)/9800(XL/Pro/XT) or NVIDIA 6800(all)
However, this can be quite expensive)

Yes, it's fine though I would save up for a 9700

What company makes that card? (The package with the cooler, not the chip) Do you have a web page link to it?
