im on the water hazard section of half-life 2 and i'm stuck already. the wheel to open a gate is broken and ive looked everywhere over and over to either find another way round the gates blocking the way, or alternative ways to open them. don't have a clue though. please can someone help?

oh and also, anyone else got a dodgy glitch where you only see certain characters heads? that is the friendly npc's you meet along the way. it was fine for a while now all i get is either a head or a white graphics mesh-work, i.e. the basic structure with no texture. weird huh.

Not sure about the gate, I've played through there but there were a lot of gates.... Just look around for awhile. As for the graphics, have you tried updating your video driver?

i think you have to find a valve/turn it so the water level rises/then go back the way you came in and you can now swim under water to go into the tunnnel........i think thats the part you mean, buy hey theres lots of valves and gates so sorry if i'm wrong......as for graphics problems, ya i don't know mines fine/make sure you have the newest driver i have an ati card and i'm using cata...4.11 it works perfect soooo.......best of luck to ya :thumbup:

If you are where I think you are go to the broken valve again and turn torwards the door you came from. Notice the barrels behind the fence? Blow them up and see for yourself ;)
