I cant install Hl1, when i click on install i get this error: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT.The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose "Close' to terminate the application.
I get this mothersandpapering error sometimes.What causes this teahat.

proly doesn't like installing on your version of windows :bucky!: this is the original half life or the remake source one?
cause i'm pretty sure theres a update for the original and running it on windows xp......

Maybe you can add some more system specs, i am sure there is someone that can help..

its not only Hl1. I just installed my printer and in the beggining of the installation it gave me the same error. a lot of programs cause this error. Im sure something with that AUTOEXEC.NT ad i recently started getting this crap. Maybe virus caused it and what can i do to fix that file.

That makes me think it's a virus or spyware... Run ALL virus & spyware scans...

Thanks a lot. i will try that. Searched for viruses, no viruses.
