Socom 2 online connecton problems

When i first started playing socom 2 online it was perfect. Now since they put the latest patch in effect i am constantly being disconnected from my game. My connection is perfect i have a 1 foot cable wire coming from the wall and it goes into the back of the modem and off of that i have a 1 foot ethernet cable going into the network adapter. Does anyone have any suggestions or any solutions to my problems?[

Just to clarify your platform....

SOCOM2 is PS2 only, right?
