has anybody else get lag from HL2?
my connection is broadband @ 4megs of bandwidth with 1-2% total network consumption, so im sure it not me. i have played w/ 6-8 other and the lag i aweful! 20+ people its like slide show! any one know whats up?

yeah the lag totally sucks, it only takes a few laggy ass holes on a server to ruin everything. seems 2 me as the mp games get more intense visually the servers or peoples connection these days cant keep up?

yeah i get the same here but i notice it is mostly people with high pings that make the servers lag crazy.allthough when i play counter strike it doesnt lag to much but then again there isnt flying cabinets going all over the place.

HL2DM is considerably more high-tech than CSS....
Anyway, if anyone with a ping over 200 (besides GH people) joins, they get a kick. Luckily, nobody rejoins... hehe |

it's all of the physcis calculations. Imagine how much data is being sent and received with things flying all over and all the other stuff that's involved with the source engine.
