hay any 1 nos how to flash a xfx 6800gt to a ultra i got coolbits and i an overclock it to a ultra settings no pro
but i would like to flash it to a ultra as i heard that it can run even better.


any help would be great
o 1 more thing any good advice on a cpu and 6800 gt cooler i could get.

AMD 64BIT-3500 winchester (939)
ASUS a8v deluxe rev 2 mobo
512 ddr crucial ballistic pc 3200 @ 2622 lat
480 enermax psu cooler giant
XFX 6800gt 256 mb card :P

From what i have read, flashing the bios to Ultra is a bad idea The preferred method is just to overclock it :thumbup:

The problems arise when trying to keep the GT cool, it's not possible unless you attach a seperate cooler to it. This is just not worth the effort for a few FPS.

Also, if you flash the card and fry it, you can't flash it back before trying to get a refund, so the company you bought it from will know what you have been up to.

Dog is right. I flashed my GT and found that it wasnt really worth it. It just became unstable and was more of a pain in the ass then it was helping me. If you still want to try it out just PM me and ill tell you how i did it.

Thanks to thoses that replyed i will keep what u said in mind.
oo there was 1 other thing how u manged to overclock your pc to a 4000 i can only overclock mine
by 10%

ive got a 3500 (939) winchester and use the 10% in the bios and it runs about 54 degres at full load about high
40s other wise...........

at 2400 mhz

so can u help........... please..................

2400Mhz on an AMD64 is roughly 4000+ you dont need to oc as much on an AMD to make large jumps n P-rating. for instance i only have my CPU overclocked 325Mhz that changed my 2800+ Barton to a 3600+. oh yeah and overclocking your GPU is nowhere worth what overclocking your CPU is not to mention the gpu is the more expensive part that is more prone to hotter running temps
