my rig-
CPU: AMD 64 3000+ NOTHING OVERCLOCKED RAM: 1GB PC5000 hyperX MOBO: ASUS k8v VID CARD: nVIDIA 6800 GT 256 OS: dual boot-Winblows Xtra Problems pro Suse Linux k9.1 64bit ed MONITOR: Veiwsonic A91/f+ 19" HDD: 2 80GB SATA Barracuda's in a RAID 0 array (win xp) 1 80GB ATA Seagate ?? (linux) Aquamark-96,000 3Dmark03-11,012 3Dmark05-4,161 HL2 stress test- 96.1fps Doom3 timedemo-98.7 by use of counter strike source video stress test, to test this driver along with 3Dmark05 -stress test done with all quality setting to the max @ 1024x768 res -3Dmark default demo ver. @ 1024x768, vid card set for max preformance w/ no tweaks i found the avg. frame rate in the stress test was a consistent 134.8fps thats a 30% gain from my prev. score of 96.1fps, my 3Dmark05 score jumped from 4161 to 4287. so that isn't bad, not at all, i guess nVidia tweaked the drivers to undo what valve did to cripple them and gained some more preformanc at the same time. |
