i installed vamps bloodlines eagerly looking foward to the fun that awaited...but alas i got a *out of range* messegefrom my screen as it went black....my overal thought that it must be the in-game resalution set to high...so i thought as hell just go to setup and change it....but again i was anoyyed to find...that vamps bloodlines HAS NO OUTA GAME SETUP option...leaven me consiquetly f.u.c.k.e.d...............if anyone knows any way to fix this please let me know at once...because i have almost had it with this horse**** :nxs: :rant: :rant: :rant: :rant: :rant: :rant: :nxs:

do a search for a config file in your vampire folder. then just look through it for a resolution setting. I'm sure that might work.
But be sure to save a copy of the original file just in case.

It might not be just the resolution, you might find that the refresh rate is out of range...

Hey i had the exact same problem, i phoned them up and they told me to uninstall my monitor driver and install the Default XP 1 which wud therefore just Call My monitor "Default Plug n Play" this fixed the problem n i was able to play, if this seems a drastic measure install game, then install the patch that has just come out, if it still dont work uninstall ur current monitor driver n install the Plug n play Microsoft one.

The game runs by default at 800*600, so you can try those 2 things:

1. set the Hz for 800*600 to 60 in your videcard drivers-menu

2. go to [start] > [Run...] > type regedit > see under current user/software/troika/vampire/settings > and change the screenheight to 768 and screenwidth to 1024

could help

(The problem is, you're probably running on a LCD screen and your Hz aren't on a default setting.)

Sry to resurrect old post but when this cought my eye i could'nt help it,so here's my 2 cent as this was the exact prob i just had with hl2....alah source engine?
