Sid Meier's Pirates lag

My computer:

AMD Athlon Processor
1,09 Ghz
256 RAM

GeForce2 MX/MX 400

The game works and its playable, the ship worked pretty fine, with a small lagging but not much, and the fights were VERY slow, so I configured the video to none world and oject seteil, now fight works fine but the ship is lagging terribly, please he lp me .

Hi Sgt Pepper

You're system barely meets the system requirements, in such a case the game "technicly" is playable but with the occasional lag as you mentioned. The only way to solve you're problem is by upgrading your system. Another thing that might solve your problem (but I guess you've already done this) is to put the display resolution way down (I'm guessing that would be 640x480) and be sure to set all the graphical settings to low/off.

Just to clear this out, I would have to update my video card and increase RAM in order to the game work well?

Id say its time to update the whole pc. Your not going to be playing too many games these days with them specs.

If you want to play games that are quite recent then it would be a good idea to get a new computer. u can ofcourse upgrade (almost) every thing in your computer, but buying an entire new computer would seem wiser.

You'll be constantly upgrading if you start upgrading that old rig. The whole thing is out of date
