PCI graphics for RTW?

I can't find anything on a pci version of the Radeon 9700. The only vaguely recent cards I've found with pci versions are various Radeon 9200s (which don't support DX9), a couple of GeForce 4 MX 64MB ones and the AOpen GeForce FX 5200 128MB. Have I missed anything better, and if not are any of the above likely to help me much?

Hi all. I'm considering buying Rome: Total War but know my integrated graphics setup won't be up to it, so I want to buy a new graphics card. One problem: despite being fairly new and fairly powerful (P4 2.66, 512MB), my computer has no AGP or PCI-E slots. Are any of the PCI cards on the market worth getting, and if so which would people recommend?
Any suggestions much appreciated.

Yeah, well, it's a Dell....
I didn't know much about expansion slots when I bought it 18 months ago. I was just wowed by the free 17" flatscreen they were giving away with it, gullible fool that I am.

Oh well, if all else fails at least you have a nice 17" TFT

I think the Radeon 9700 will be PCI, and will handle Rome TW :thumbup:
