gta vice city crashs...(pc)

the other day i shut down my gta vice city game the normal way, then the next day as i tried to re-open it the game crashes as it is trying to load a saved game or start a new one... i installed a patch from a link off vice city's web site but it still doesnt work, i've tried deleting my old saved games, uninstalling and reinstalling the game, yet still nothing works

please help my problem if any of you are having or have had the same problem and know what to do (i have not installed anything new on the computer since i installed vice city, but spyware programes have installed several programs, some i'm sure i dont even know about yet) -_-

Well i myself had a problem with VC when I plugged my 9800pro in,
I just wouldn't run, then suddenly after a week or so, I tried it again, and the game worked perfect.
Still dunno why it wouldnt run at first..

But back to your problem, do you get an error message or something?
And be sure to clean out ur PC, to get rid of that spyware...

Yeah as X said, get rid of all the Spyware/Adware etc... and then reinstall the game. :thumbup:

ok i installed hitman and it still isn't working, the error message that it is giving me is this:

"a problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
BAD_POOL_CALLER
