i'd say $250 TO $350 MAX. for the comp plus $40-$50 for monitor
it is old technology and not indemand. i could only see it being a linux file server or some other "support" machine in a small network. |

I've been thinking about selling my computer as of recent to try and gather some extra money to upgrade to something better so I can play the latest games. I don't know what to ask, but I have noticed that there are a few similar computers on eBay selling for around $250-$300. I want to get a feel for what you guys think my computer is worth as I'll probably be putting it up for sale on here and eBay. Everything works perfectly and is in very good shape considering the computer's age. Below is a fully detailed list of my computer specs and everything that is included:
Intel Pentium 4 Processor, 1.4GHZ from MDG Intel D845HV10A Motherboard Windows XP Home SP2 Samsung SV4002H 40GB Hard Drive Samsung CD-R/RW 16x10x32 Combo Drive Dynex 16x DVD Rom Drive (less than 1 week old) Standard 3.5" Floppy Drive GeForce4 Mx 440 64MB AGP8X Video Card - Overclock to 500MHZ 1024(1GB) PC133 SDRAM SMC EZ Card 10/100 Fast Ethernet PCI Network Adapter 3D Pro Sound Mitsuko Mini Super Woofer 3Piece System Logitech Optical Wheel Mouse 1 Glacial Tech Cooling Fan, 1 Fanner Tech Cooling Fan Ports: 4 USB, 1 Serial, 1 Parrallel, 1 Mouse, 1 Keyboard + Audio, Video, Network I don't know if I'm including the monitor yet but it's a Samsung SyncMaster 753DF. I also have a Creative Webcam to throw in as well. Also all drivers, software, installation manuals, guides etc for all products are included. Basically everytihng needed to run the computer is included except a keyboard and possibly the monitor. Thanks, Rob. |

It's really not that slow at all...you'd be very surprised. I take very good care of this computer with weekly cleanups, defrags and constant spyware, adware and virus protection. The upgrades I've added along the way have helped very much as well. The only thing this computer struggles with has come of recent with new games like HL2, Doom3 etc being released. Keep in mind I do still play these games but ocasionally experience slow down when some major stuff is happening. This would still make an excellent computer for home or office use with some minor gaming every now and then as well.
So prices: $200Euro converts to just over $300CDN. I don't know what currency you were talking, TheTeaPot, but it seems to be either Us or CDN. So either way I my guess as to what it is worth was pretty much dead on. I plan to put this on eBay with a price of $300-$350CDN..maybe a little more if I decide to throw in the monitor as well. Thanks for the help. |
