Dragons Lair 3D climbing/jumping help

Hi I'm just wondering if anyone know if it's possible to jump and grab hold of the pole, where the rope or chain, you're climbing is hanging from? *Pheeew* Long complicated sentence In some scenes I think it's only possible to get some treasures, if this is possible. I'm in particular thinking of an empty room in Bells and ropes, where there's a pole, a chain and a diamond on top of it...
