i know your already thinking i mean games like half2 splinter cell3 doom3 etc, but these games run flawlessy
but for some reason in unreal tournament 2004, and the demo of SWAT 4 and the demo of STAR WARS republic commano, all players have very screwed up shadows for example, ![]() in SWAT 4 i get all kinds of insane rainbow colors where special lightning would take place, this includes the use of flashlight and player shadows. that screenshot is a small example i just took really quick, vehicles in ut2004 are even worse, star wars republic commando looks the exact same as the issue in ut2004. other games that have serious shadows are problem free (SC3 doom3 HL2 CSS) wtf is the deal here? by the way my video card... i bought it refurbished

could be because the card is overclocked. If that isnt the case, go to Direct3D and OpenGL hardware options in your display menu and set your settings to default.
also, update your video card drivers if you havent already...

as i feared... i had set my clock speeds to 5 under the nearest hundred for both , so like 690 390 and saved it but for some reason it stays at the previously saved 710/410
i did tweak alot of those options, so i'll try that. im pretty sure my drivers are up to date though. questiion: do video cards have errors from overclocking before they overheat? cause my card has never hit the 50Celcius mark in the worst situation
