Lock on blue screen hell

I have a nivida ge force 4 graphics card in my machine 2.4ghz proc and 512 mb ram so i have more than the system requirments to run this game. There are two problems that i am havingant the moment. First every now and then while playing a game the screen just goes a light shade of blue (sky colour) the game doesnt freeze as such as you still get all the warnings like pull up but the screen is just blue (no mater which view you press (f1-f12). The second problem that i am having is that when i downloaded the 1.02 patch the game stopped working and i had to uninstall and then re install the game. I tried downloading from a different mirror and still the same probs, all in all a bit of a turd of a game so far especially when i have been an avid fan of il stumurvik for a while now i was expecting the same again. oh well anybody with any ideas how to fix this it would be greatly appreciated.
