how about you look up what LAN means and then come back.
Are you serious about making a LAN Party? maybe trying some Xbox link party first before hitting it with the big guys. ![]()

u host a party and don't know about Lans and internet? lol
The facts: ofcourse a lan is possible without inet. Every PC with a network adapter connects (with a cable) to a hub or switch, the same with WLan (only to an WLAN switch). The hubs are connected with a cable to a uplink port of another hub. OR with an special cable (twisted cables) to a normal port of a hub. hub (normal)-- hub(normal) twisted hup (uplink) -- hub (uplink) normal LAN cabel Hint: Get some help with this stuff. 100 person Lan is a difficulty thing. Where the lan is situated and when?

get switches instead of hubs and you don't have to worry about "uplink" ports.
cat5 rj45 cables normal ones and some switches will do the job. of course you need some servers. but look through the guide mart posted.

Is everyone bringing their own computers?...make sure you have room... And most games dont support over around 64 players, so don't count on only being able to have one server... You need at least 1 server (you know, the black ones) or several computers hosting listen *depending on what game you're playing* (dedicated seem to lag when hosted by PC's; maybe it's only in Counter-strike source..) servers...Good luck ;)
