Vampire TM : Bloodlines GFX patch?

I have had this game for a while but the 20fps, 2sec freezes and poor performance i have to deal with turns me off to
this game. i have the 1.4 patch for gameplay balance and i already knew that doesnt do anything for performance.
and i know theres 3rd party patch gig going on so.....
Is there a patch unofficial/official for VTM:bloodlines that increases performance? if not are they working on it?
or am i screwed in this department? :Oo:

TBH, I have a super-duper-rig and the performance in comparison to the other Source engine games is horrific. You just need to turn down the AF and AA settings and run @ 1024x768 tbh.
