Mouse probs

Hey guys,
I finally took delivery of my mobo,graphics,psu,proc from various retailers..........
Anyway the build went smooth but my current enermax noisetaker has no pci-e connectors or 24 pin connector plug for the mobo,i know i could prob buy adaptors for this,but needed my rig up and running today.
I had to gritt my teeth and buy a new psu from a shop=instant delivery=££££=(
I do have one major annoying prob though....
Every few minutes my mx310 optical switches off for a second or two before resuming again?
I've dug out a old microsoft optical mouse but still the same behaviour"using ps/2 port"
Any ideas as this is doing me in,as you can imagine gaming is impossible.

DAMN its done it again but the optical has stayed off!
I've plugged the mx310 into the usb port and hey presto we have power i can now glide my cursor to post new topic
I'll see how it goes plugged into the usb but any enlightenment would be cool

i think what is wrong is that your ps2 port isnt functioning properly but im not sure that is what you want to know because your post is a bit hard to read as i understand your problem is already sorted so please put some dots in your text hear and there

If it works in usb, then why do you want it back to the ps/2 port?
Just leave it where it's now :thumbup:
