HALO 2: The Movie

I am the Public Relations person for the movie, so if you have any questions then hit me with them!

Ok guys, here is what my project is all about. I am attempting to take the amazing and captivating storyline form halo 2 and express it in a huge, feature length film. In total, the final product will be around 2 hours once completed and I plan on making dvd version of the film complete with interactive menus and title screens and even cool extras like previews, how to’s, etc…I am pretty sure it is quite illegal to launch a dvd that I charge for so if anyone wants it, all they need to do is pay for the S&H. I plan to release the movie sometime late this summer.

The release will be in episodes as to not overwhelm those who want to dl it. Each episode will consist of one area in the game. For example, the first episode will have some cool previews for other great halo films, the film’s intro, and everything from the opening game cinema up thru the time when MC leaves cairo station. I will use co-op for the 3rd person stuff. Each area is planned to have around 5-10 minutes of footage, but keep in mind that most areas in the game consist of 2 or 3 levels.

Here’s the trick, to capture halo 2’s immersive storytelling, I threw out the option of using the MP part of the game like every other film made using the game thus far. Instead, I am trying to use the SP campaign to get my footage.

My goal is to recreate the entire immersive atmosphere I felt when playing thru the storyline, but to do it in an even more cinematic way. I want it to feel epic and engaging and exciting and even dramatic when appropriate.


note: it uses a few shots from david galindo's masterful films, but it is only b/c i didnt have time to capture similar footage myself. and most of that stuff is mine and he gave his explicit consent to use it since his films were what inspired me to make my movie...

Hey guys i'm the other PR guy and i would like to let ya know:

Excuse me, but, normaly, a movie isn't video game footages well agenced to appear like a film. Second thing, halo 2 graphics and effect are far behind those we see in final fantasy, matrix or even game like doom3 or half life2 . You could have converted halo2 with half life2 models (with source development kit) make the whole story using scripts in order to run the movie as an intro of a game. i guess this would have been better but....even with this...
