Battlefield 2 Demo Impressions

I like the game so far. I havent tried being the commander yet though. And the ghost buttons are killin me. lol I usually have the parachute on the end button but it says it is being used. Cant find the damn thing anywhere. The only other real complaint I have is the map is a little small for my taste. I keep flying out of bounds lol. Other than that, I say this is going to be a great game

i love the demo i cant see everything up hight cos i have a 9200 but it still runs great with everything low and off.

the comander job is to much stress if you dont give the people what they want they have a muteny and chuck you out for a younger more beatuiful model.

my fave class has to be anti tank with the mp5 man that guy rocks or the sniper on the huge hotel with clays at base and top of ladder loads of kills.

the ghost keys are pissin me off i usealy play with everything on the Num pad ie. priamary weapon is num pad 2, knife is num pad 1, reload 7 and so on.

the squad sytem is great i love telling my squad i want more ammo and guy comes up and goes here ya go.

i cant fly yet but i will get th e hang of it and i love the stingers so easy to take to planes outt the sky.

i think thats it if i missed anything ill be back.

I like this game alot, I wasn't a huge fan of all the last battlefields either, but this one....is great!

BF2 Demo = AMAZING FUN. Simple as that . And monkey any chance of you getting a GH BF2 server? so we can all hang out and I can own you all :P. Now i added you to xfire ill be back in about 3 hours. YOU BETTER BE ON! I WANNA CRASH MY PLANE INTO YOU!

lol! Well we might be able to get a game server. Ill run it by hiv. I dled the server thing so Ill try and set one up when you get back

I thought it was pretty good it would be better if i would updat my graphics card cuz all i have right now is a nvidia geforce fx 5200

I LOVE IT! but i dont know how to get the cammander mode working! i apply for cammander, and i get in, then its just the same as fighting, but i thourght it was like a big map, where you clicked arround and stuff?? i saw that on the wetlands chace. but i might be wrong.

I am an A-Grade piolet, and if we make a clan, im Piolet!

does anyone know how to get the 32 player map on singleplay? with the bots?

And i might be getting a server, becasue my brother got a web site, so mum said she get me a server!

but its Australian, QLD, so anyone that live in QLD be exsited to run smooth as anything on my server

To use commander mode first find somewhere to hide so you don't get killed, then hit caps lock to go into the commander mode screen. You will be looking at the map and you can zoom in twice to see more detail. The highest zoom you can actually see people and vehicles moving around. You can give squads orders and they can choose to accept or reject them. to give an order highlight the squad you want to order in the list on the left hand side then right click the map where you want to give the order and it'll bring up a list of orders. (as in right click a certain spawn point and select attack or defend) You also have tools available to you. scan,uav,arty and supplies. scan does a once over of the entire map showing all enemies as red blips. You can place a UAV on the map somewhere and it shows the enemies to the troops in the area of the uav for a limited time. Call artillery an highly concentrated enemy positions then zoom in on them and watch them get wrecked And of course supplies are for the troops in need. To talk verbally to squads just highlight the squad and hold "B" to talk to them . this should help you out.

Yeah, the map is a great size if you're on foot or land vehicles, but by the time you're up in the air in a jet, the map is annoyingly small. Once you've made a one second pass, you're already needing to make a U-turn in the out of bounds zone! :\

How does this map size compare with other map sizes planned for BF2? Will Jets have more flying freedoms in general? Because I really didn't find jet flying to be attractive at all! It would be okay if they'd remove the boundaries and let jets swoop and dive after one another in a larger space.

In some of the videos they've released, it seems as though there will be some maps that are larger for air to air combat. Can anyone else confirm this? Thanks =) That's about the only thing keeping me from buying this game on the 20th!!
