DEMO IS BORKEN

i downloaded it right? I installed it right? I clicked the exe right? It went to black screen (as all games do before they start) then the black screen dissapears and the app. shuts itself down. WHAT TO DO!?!

i have my lastest drivers for my ti4200 so i am at a LOSS FOR WORDSSSS

p.s. Is it just me or is the site running terribly slowly lately, sometimes not loading at all?

The ti series will not run BF2 at all. Time to upgrade. As for the site, between being hammerd and having som technical dificulties, you are lucky you can get on right now

so my card can run HL2, Doom3, and Farcry very well but not BF2? What a joke

buuuut by the end of the summer i should have enough for a geforce 6800. minimum wage is great!

True, tried it my self

The game requires a minimum of 1.4 shader support, TI series cards supports 1.3 shader.

Bad news, but also a great opportunity to upgrade, consider the ATI 9800 pro 256 mb or the NVIDIA 6600GT 128mb, since both of them cost almost the same cheap price these days :thumbup:

Oh man i downloaded BF 2 and it works fine (Radeon 9600xt, 2000+ amd, 512ram,...)

It works fine with half settings to medium and half to high (with no problem) only first minute lags because of low ram...................

HEY MAN IF BF2 CRASHES BACK TO DESKTOP TURN OFF ALL REFRESH RATE PROGRAMS LIKE REFORCE,... I HAD SAME PROBLEM

or go in my case: C:\Games\Battlefield 2 Demo\mods\bf2\Settings\VideoDefault.con (open this file with notepad)

CHANGE LINE renderer.allowAllRefreshRates 0 to 1 (like this renderer.allowAllRefreshRates 1)

!!!!!

AND BF2 SHOULD WORK !!!!11

I been playing BF2 without any problems whatsoever, and I have a Radeon 9000 Pro

He was referring to programs that control refresh rates, like 3rd party programs, other than changing them at the Monitor section in Display properties

Actually it won't, because his card is not supported by the game's engine

The prg that controlls the refresh rate of the screen is also known as Graphic Card Driver. hrhrhr....
