Ths is nausiating. I would like to debate in a form that doesn't involve throwing insults back and forth. But obveousuly no one who uses these forums is capable of that. Im not insulting, but im pretty sure I hear people say the revolution is going to be four times as powerful as the Gamecube. Wow, four times as powerful. I might as well add a gig of ram or buy another graphics card for my computer if I want it to be four times as powerful. No wonder the thing is so cheap, the hardware used for it is barely next generation. Money is not an issue when it comes to playing the best and next generation games. Consumers pay larger sums in order to get what they want, and they want something with the best freaking graphics they've ever seen and something out of the ordinary. On the other hand, Nintendo chose to deliver old titles to faithful consumers as a last straw in order to make some money before they die. I enjoyed Nintendo64 and would like to revisit some of the old games, but seriously, if you go back and play an old game it is not very fun. You might as well go to the arcades and play some mediocre fighting game.
I'm not a fanboy and may not get any of the systems, but it is blatantly obvious that Nintendo has only one faithful gaming crowd left. Its time to move on people, things may not turn out the way you want, but that is life. I remember being extremely dissapointed when Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault came out after years of glorious entertainment Medal of Honor: Allied Assault brought me. I almost made myself buy the game out of loyalty, but I thought about the future of gaming. If a sequel is released from an amazing game, that doesn't necessarily mean it will be better or more innovative. Nintendo Revolution is a great example of this. Just because Nintendo is the "godfather" of videogames does not mean that Gamecube was a good system and Nintendo Revolution will be good. Most signs point that Nintendo's life will be short in the future. Good day.

OK...You can't believe everything you hear. PS3 35 times as powerful as PS2? Nope, it just isn't. The pre-rendered images that werent even running on a working PS3 diddn't even match those claims, let alone an actual working PS3. And remember, before the release of the PS2, Sony claimed its power could run a game with graphics like in the movie ToyStory. Could it? No, it coulden't.
And I'm sick of (PLEASE AWNSER THIS) MS and Sony fanboys knocking down the Revolution when they know ABSOLUTLEY NOTHING ABOUT IT! Why do you guys do that? If you want to rip on it wait for some technical specs, or some actual images/video of in-game graphics. Please at least do that, ok? Then IF it sucks you can make fun of it. But as it stands right now, you guys have no right.
And for the price, its at $200 because Nintendo is selling it for less than its worth. Id rather have that than a PS3 thats marked up $300. And about the graphics...PS2's graphics sucked, no one can argue that cuz it's true. But no one hates the PS2 cuz of it. Do you get what I'm saying? Nintendo fanboys DONT complain about other consoles, the hell only rises when MS and Sony fanboys tick us off. Like that Stevie loser, you never see Nintendo fanboys doin stuff like that. Nintendo is giving us an option: 1-Go buy new games that cost $50. Or 2-Sit at home and download old games at a small charge. There will be new games! Nintendo ISN'T focusing on the old games! Thats extra! You guys are pissed off cuz your consoles won't have downloadable games! Do you get it! So when you said Nintendo is choosing to deliver old titles...It pissed me off so Explain, OK? Where does NEW games AND OLD games become a problem? Do you even realize that Nintendo is making a game to rival Halo? Or new Mario, DK, and Zelda games? And an Online SSB? Did you honestly not know? Did you think that Nintendo was going to release a console JUST FOR OLD GAMES??!! What the hell is wrong with you guys?
Heres how dumb making fun of the Revolution for having downloadable games sounds: Xbox sucks because It has Xbox Live. Does that make sense? NO!
Nintendo is a huge company. And it WONT die! OK? even if the Revolution isnt a huge sucess, do you actually think Nintendo will vanish from existance owning 95% of the handheld market? Dont forget even though you guys dont like Gamecube, it STILL SOLD TONS OF UNITS AND IS VERY SUCESSFUL. And that Nintendo is no where near "DYING". You guys arent very smart. Nintendo released Virtual Boy wich failed, Is Nintendo gone? NO! You guys need to stop and think before you run your mouths in attempt to piss off Nintendo fanboys. Nintendo won't dissapear due the release of a "not so good" console. All just exaggerated words of MS and Sony fanboys.
Don't forget, (wherever you guys are) Your not in Japan, and what video game company controlls the market there whos population laughs at ours? Nintendo.

Who says the PS3 is marked up? Sony and Microsoft are loosing money on their consoles. Nintendo is selling them at a low price because the hardware they use is fairly cheap. Nintendo is probably the only company loosing money

Those are two totally different things. It can be arguable that Xbox Live sucks, but your argument is completely irrelevant and off topic in that Xbox Live is a small component to a system, whereas downloadable games are crucial to the revolution's success. Nintendo revolution could suck just because it is not considered advanced by todays standards, not because of the downloadable games being old.

Yes, it very well could. Not that it could vanish instantly, but with the growth of the PSP as the handheld media standard and the library of games growing for it, it could easily surpass the DS within the next two years.

Obviously we are not in Japan, but who cares? Just because Nintendo has control over a large portion of Japan does not mean it is successful here. Pretty soon the videogame industry will balance itself out and the dominance it has in Japan will not matter.

So what if they are not far from dying? That doesn't mean Nintendo will lose most of its fanbase and it's loyal customers. Our rambling wont speed up the process, it's sole purpose is for educating the fanboys who would die for their own company. You have to think straight and realize that videogames are anybody's business, one year Microsoft might be dominating and one year Nintendo might. Right now the odds are not in favor of Nintendo.

Point of order...
You are defending Nintendo's cost of their console because they are losing money on the system.
I hate to break the news, but the Xbox 360, even at $300 is WELL below MS's cost. Gates committed to losing $1 Billion (Yes, that's with a B ) to break into the console market. Last I saw, MS had "Only" lost around $500 Million on the Xbox so far.
So, if the Revolution is selling at a loss for $200, and Xbox 360 is selling below cost at $300, what does that tell you about the hardware in the Nintendo?
And don't try to say that Nintendo is getting better prices, or is willing to lose more $$, because MS could buy Nintendo out of petty cash.
