Hi all,

I want to say that BF2 is a great game so far...except the flying controls! In desert combat,it is so good, natural and fluent, they just wasted it here.I'm an expert DC pilot and i'm really dissapointed about this part of the game...i miss responsiveness when taking power back/hovering,and while turning away after attacking a ground target

what do u guys think about this?

Agreed.

The BF plane controls were ridiculously simplistic, but were at least useable. These are just BAD. The jets are way to damn fast for the size of the map, all you can do is constantly turn.

EA tried to make them TOO realistic. They tried to make BF2 TOO realistic---that was the best part of BF1942--it wasnt too realistic. Anyway, keep in mind it IS a small map, and there will be bigger ones.

all I can say is that I can't do the same stuff in the helicopters that I use to in dc. also I don't like the auto hovering feature. landing just feels foreign to me.

i dont see the problem with flying, the controls are easy to master and i can easily perform barral rolls loop de loops and my fav of all pretending your gonna crap and pulling up at the last second.

i love the fact with the plains if you have a heat seeker locked on and you fly past another plane, chopper or the oil rig at MEC base it chases what ever one is closer, many friends have died saving my ass like that

up with the mouse is to go up and take off

right with mouse is roll right

left with mouse if roll left

down with mouse is to nose dive

i use a and d to turn and it turns fast if you roll the same way and s to slow down and land
