Well after seeing a "wonderfull" 16ms NEC some time ago I'm staying with Crt for some time.
The newest screens are supposed to be better so you can either go to some electronics market and see one, or if you're happy with your current CRT wait for OLED displays.

I have to say I have no problem whatsoever with my BenQ 937s+ in games. It has 8 ms reaction time and I see no difference to my other 19" Samsung CRT.
But of course, you have to look around a bit for a "gaming" LCD. Reason for me to change was the space problem with a dualscreen setup. Goes much better now.

I use an LCD with 8ms response time ABSOLUTLY zero ghosting or blur. I am a "real gamer" also. Your comment is just plain ignorance.

same here, sony HS-73 17" is very cool, a real gamer if it's that we are talking about, would appreciate perfect colours and contrast, a top brightness and a good response time. mine is 10ms vertical and 12 horizontal , and no blur, no dead pixels after 1.5 year of daily utilisation...choose, the encombrement with quality or quality with small size.....you choose
.
OLED is teahat for the moment, is has a killer response time (+40) and teahaty colours.
Edit, a CRT screen hurts the eyes.

8ms response time is old school now anyway. Not that it matter you guys are noobs. Maybe you shouldnt ask your parents to buy your computer components anyway. sad.
