Here's How To Get Battlerecorder To Work

Easy Steps:

1) Download my pack from HERE
(Includes Advanced Text and Audio versions of the tutorial.)
2) Move and overright rotate_demo.cfg to C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2 Server
(If this is the location where your dedicated server is)
3) Move the HD0087.con file to your My Folders\Battlefield 2\ServerConfigs folder. Now when you start your BF2ServerLauncer there should be configure named HD0087 down there. (Edit it as you like but do not chance the Battlerecorder settings)
4) Start the server.
5) Play.
6) And before you stop the server type "demo.stopRecording" and bf2demo file will be created to your C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2 Server\mods\bf2\demos folder.
(If you do not do this the file will be useless)
7) Now create a folder named demos to your “My Folders\Battlefield 2\Profiles\Default\ ) dir.
And move the bf2demo files from the mods\bf2\demos folder to the demo’s folder you just created.
8) Start BF2 and go to Community choose the file from battle recorder library and play

Admin Commands:

demo.recordDemo [demoname]
demo.stopRecording

Keys:

– Q
opens the Playback Rose.
– T
opens the Camera Rose.
- Keys 1 - 9
Change the playback speed.
- Toggle Free Camera / Player Camera
Alt Fire Key. By default this is the Right Mouse Button.
While in free camera mode:
- W, A, S, D
Move forwards, backwards, strafe left and right.
- Double Tap W
Move camera quickly. Alternatively you can hold the Sprint key.
- Crouch / Prone
Move camera up and down.
- Mouse
Rotate camera.
While in the player follow camera mode:
- Space bar
Next / previous player.
- W and A or the mouse scroll wheel
Zoom camera in and out.
- Crouch / Prone
Tilt the camera up and down.
- Mouse
Rotate camera around the player

Interesting just got off a offical ranked server and downloaded a couple of demos, where I had the duty to lead a squad,

Battlefield Movie Website

Crazycanuck from the Dissident clan has opened up a website dedicated to all Battlefield2 movie makers.

We intend to expand into other fps games, you make the movies, we will show them.

The site is in it infancy but already we have attracted some of the best movie makers out there. Noken of Mine 1 & 2 fame joined us. Little_Donkey & StRuPiE makers of The Fallen One & Sands of Fire teaser (about to be released) These fella's are well known with-in Gamershell as their movie has been hosted here for some time.

The aim of this site and forum is to showcase the movies made by members and others and also to support each other with tips and actual hands on help.

This is fast becoming a new artform, allready it past the "lets run fraps and make a movie" stage. Noken spent hundreds of hours on his movies to get that "one shot" or the "angle" just right.
