I just looked at it once, I was not caught by it, so I guess I didn't go far enough to help, anyway make your question, there's more hope to get an answer.

I feel that I have made a vile mistake in purchasing this game, but anyway..here is my question:
Is there anyway that I can resore my health and mana while fighting without running away and openning the inventory selecting,using, blah blah blah?? Also
has anyone played Might and magic IX?? If so please give me your opinion.

If you paid full price yes I guess you made a mistake (there are various better titles).

About restoring mana NO IDEA!

I used to play Gothic a while ago. I actually considered making a review of it, but I felt it was too old. It's actually a pretty fun action rpg, with a nice story and a nice environment. It doesn't have the best graphics and sounds, but the setting really got to me.
