E-D Glasses - Any good?

Hey, I saw the banner ads for those E-D glasses on the Hell homepage, and had a quick look. They LOOK and sound awesome, all the reviews give high praise, but they still didn't answer my questions fully.

I was wondering if anyone here has used them before?

1.) Do they hurt your eyes after a while/cause defects in your vision/give you headaches?

2.) Are they very effective on a 15 inch CRT monitor?

3.) I have a TV-OUT port on my graphics card. Would they work well if I were to plug my 28 inch 50Hz PAL TV into this?

4.) Did you notice any slow-down in performance when using them?

(I have a 700MHz Athlon, Leadtek GeForce 4 Ti 4200 128Mb, 1024Mb RAM, 123Gb HD)

5.) What are they like for viewing movies/webpages/2D games?

Any info is greatly appreciated!

well worth the money,they made my home movies a new expereance,awesome with most direct x games,the only thing is any detonator driver above 30.91 will not support them right now, i use 30.82 they seem the most stable. good luck

As far as I see if you do not enable 3d it uses other drivers. How can you use them for movies?

[/b][/quote] 1) No 2) Yes, better to have a 17/19 or to stay really close to the monitor 3) I think they would not, as they are synching with vga signal, and anyhow, 50hz would mean 25hz for each eye... 4) yes 5) movies unchecked, useless for 2d games / web pages get them, wired version if you have not enough cash

2) E Dimensional makes claims they have ATI drivers (yah they work, just very poorly compared to Nvidia. Also you can get VRcaddy drivers that are just as good for ATI free)

Bet my monitor wont support it with its crappy 60mhz refresh rate (70mhz required)

Anyone know where i can get a pair (Britain please) like online from a british site. Or shop.
