Dark Age of Camelot, They still dont get it

I see now Mythic is concerned enough about lower player numbers to start a free trial to DAOC. They didnt get it then and they dont get it now.
I remeber the 4 plus hour to forever waits in game when I needed an assist. I still remember their blatent ignorance to the entire idea of balance.They countered this problem by not fixing the main problems but instead they GAVE AWAY free char levels on certain servers to ENCOURAGE people to play them.
Now with DOL being so popular why the hell would I pay to play that cruddy product of theirs .You know its bad when you have to give your product away.

What's a DOL?

I really don't recall anyone on these forums talking much about DAOC, seems like EQ2 and WoW overshadowed it pretty quickly.

Have u seen the classic servers they just put up thow? no TOA no Cata, always full, they still got some players

I stopped after TOA came out and started for a while when Cata came out, its a fun game, just get bored of things fast lol

Hey that reminds me. Is EQ2 all that its cracked up to be? Or would It be a waste to try it. I hear in EQ you can build char value.
I have heard storys of EQ chars selling for tons. If DAOC would have kept char leveling and skill gathering something that actually took a bunch a time to do, then the char you made would have been valuable and worth keeping. When I left DAOC I flushed my chars down the toilet beins they were worthless

Never got past lv 46 anyway, get bored of MMOG's fast, like em all but i cant stand LVing, EQ2 was fun
