yes i did heard of it mostly because the games before this one (Earth2150, the moon project, lost souls)... tho it made a rather quiet release. too quiet.

wait a minute... according to an preview here on gamershell itself it seems earth 2160 will be released mid-september. so it isn't released yet. but why are there patches then? and some friends of mine reported seeing it on the *web*...

Polish: released

Russian: released

UK/USA, French, Italian, Spanish, Czech: 13th Sept.

Japanese, Korean: Sept. 05

Trad./Simpl. Chinese: Oct. 05

Rest of World: unknown

why oh why don't they include the netherlands??

It looks good but for some reason I can't get into it. It just got no personality so to say.
Maybe I just don't feel like playing RTS games right now. But the graphics is fine.

This are info form Review from one of biggest Polish game site (sorry for my english)

Note - 8,5
- 4 diffrent races/fractions (Eurasian Dynasty, United Civilized States, Lunar Corporation, Morphidz)
- Good story
- "When i saw trailers, and screenshots graphic looked very good. Does it look so good in game? No! It looks much better!"
- You can use FFP mode (not useful but funny

- Athlon 1,46 GHz , 512 RAM and Radeona 9500 128 RAM - Medium quality and working ok
- Like in Earth2150 you can make your own tanks and arm them in diffrent weapons, shields, armours

Bad things:
- Sometimes soldiers have problems to move for long distances
- Theres no pause when heroes talk in missions (your soldiers keep fighting)

Will you be able to play it as a FPS as promised. I.E. take over units and drive them yourself like in Battlezone and Hostile Waters?

no, that won't be possible. tho i always like the RTS with a FPS touch to it... played Machines till it hurt.

and yes, i was aware that earth 2140 was its predecessor. compared to future technology 2140 is like MS DOS :P

/me gonna play ED, because the tanks where so darn cool.

You need to play fractions in specyfic order. You cannot choose which campagin you want to play (AFAIK)

PS. Ill try to buy game tomorrow.

huh? okay, maybe so, but that doesn't mean theres no skirmish mode?

Both Earth 2140 and 2150 were a lot of fun and highly underrated. I'm looking forward to Earth 2160.

I dunno much 'bout Earth 2160, I've played Earth 2150 (but I never played the expansion packs) and I like configurating weapons on my units.. And Volvox, what's the Morphidz? (Sorry about my English..)

This is new race in Earth 2160 (probably form Mars ;). They are like Zerg form StarCraft (can morph into units/buldings)
