New Games Console

As I told you this project may be true (It has appeared in almost all gamming sites). Then again I just can't understand how a unknown company can develop 30,000 games for a release.

Take my word on this: Im almost sure that is this project comes to reality (which I doub) is going to be a PC on a box (lol..almost an Xbox ;p).

With the new mini boards from Apolo we are seeing Desktop PCs of almost the size of an Xbox. An if you take it further we have now many laptops smaller than the M$ console so develop a computer in a box with a video out and network is relatibly easy.

Still cost is going to be an issue, there is no way they can produce a PC (or console) for less than $200 without lossing $$$$$$$.

Oh for Pete's sake! It's NOT true, it's a hoax, a sham, a gag! There is no way to secure the rights to 30,000+ games without making a pretty big rumble among publishers and developers. And since the whole thing would be broadband based they would have to cut some SERIOUS deals with broadband providers, or build the own network(LOL).

As if all that isn't enough, the promise that other console games will be playable on the Phantom seals it's coffin. There is NO WAY Microsoft, Sony or Nintendo will make their games playable on another console. It would invalidate THEIR console, and that hardly seems like a wise economic decision.

Did i mention that the release date was set for December 2003? Less than 12 months, and all they have to show are some rendered images of the console? It's...a....HOAX!
