The original Serious Sam games looked great, OpenGl gave them a nice look and very good framerates. The Latest? Absolute crap. Looks terrible, runs slowly and you can no longer blow up everything in sight. What a shame. The old Serious engine was vastly superior.

I tend to disagree , its the damn level to blame for the bad impressions , that sci-fi crap is an anticlimax of what serious sam stood for , if you would go to EXTRAS , CREDITS you would see scenes from other levels that remind of the original SERIOUS spirit , allthough much has changed.
And it runs slow because its a new game with modern graphics , im sure that the first serious sam when it got out it needed some SERIOUS hardware - for that time... You must play tha game with an open mind . A bucket of crap its not , and if it were i would still play it for the funny catchphrases like "Damn its cold , my nipples are like pencil erasers.." P.s.: The supercanon is not as spectacular as before , canonballs are "lazy"...

Well atleast i do X, i'v enjoyed the first Serious Sam alot back in the time it came out,
and well that mostly cause of it's 90's gameplay(shoot everything that moves, do it quick  )got to love these kind of games, mostly played in Lan afcourseHavnt tried SS2 but hope it'll be as cool as number 1 cheers wd

cough just read my post, and noticed i liked DooM3 a lot, gameplay was quite 90's aswell
