Faworite freeware multiplayer games?

Wanted to know what freeware online games are people playing here.

I was looking for something in the lines of "Soldat" and "little fighter 2", something easy to learn, but with enough to do. Something that can be played with 1-5 friends.

There was one were you could fly some spaceships (top down view), i cant remember the name though...

This is great online MMORPG, kind of like Linage 2 but cooler and more features http://www.silkroadonline.net/ . Check out screenshots, its amazing.

Sorry but Silkroad is DISGRACEFUL! Graphics are subpar, gameplay is very repetitive, more so than any other mmorpg I have played (I have played MANY!), the sounds are decent but does not make up for the rest of the faults. I got to lvl 20 and left, as it got seriously boring. Do not try it unless you have a low spec machine and want something one step up from runescape.
