NFS: Most Wanted Demo Impressions

I too am unable to install this demo. "DX9.0C required"...which of course I DO have.
I tried getting it from 3D Gamers also...same thing. I would like to see this game in action, but if they can't make a functioning demo...

To the one who posted that he manually installed it...how exactly did you do that? Thanks in advance.

Can one use optimal settings and get appropriate gameplay using an Nvidia 6800GT or do you need the 7800gt (or will neither do it)

I've been waiting for another hot persuit game to come out since the first one. Didn't care for the 2nd one that much. So I was blown away by the persuit modes in the demo. Way fun. I hope the tuning aspect of underground 2 stays. Bolting parts on is boring without tuning. What I'm looking forward to is being the cop. I owned everyone when I was the cop in the first hot persuit. Graphics are good. They might not look great now but they left some stuff off for the demo so you'll see an improvement when the full game comes out. So the demo has and A+ from me. Then next race game I can't wait to come out is CrashDay. That game is gunna freakin rock the house.

Nice to look at and nice to play. Great job EA, but where are the support for 1360x768 res.??

well i thought the demo was visually stunnig on my 7800gt but one thing i tried and didn tget much was the damage...i rammed the car in the simple race mode and all i saw was paint job getting screwed and not overall body damage....is this something not available in the demo...some one plz post screens of thier damaged cars

Overall its not bad. The handling in my opinion is like a bad episode of Auto Modelista if anyone played that. The sensetivity is very slow and bad, and you kind of skid all the time when you turn. A feeling of driving on ice. Other then that,its a pretty good game.
EA has unusual pattern, their every 3rd sequel is the best.

ok. so the handling isn't just sluggish for me. I thought it was my computer. And addressing the damage bit. I think it's ok that they dont' screw the cars up. This do more damage now that in underground where they just show a broken glass texture then went back to normal. This time I've seen the police cars get screwed up a good amount and I can be driving next to a damaged one and the door starts swinging open.

i played all the nfs from the beginning. I really like this "roadblock" mission and open fields. However in this demo you can only use one car in the roadblock mission

Wow im sorry but that is truly one of the most dumbest comments ive ever read. Your obviously not much of a gamer or you must have really hated the hot pursuit games. How the hell does the cops mess up the game? Was always one of my favourite things about Hot Pursuit, either being chased by the cops or playing as the cops and was one of the things i missed with Underground along with daylight!! I loved those games on the PS back before i had a pc to play games on.
