Any GTR fans about? Not sure about the new trailer, looks jazzed up, although it still looks cool. But check out these tasty treats:

http://www.sim-racer.de/wbb2/thread.php?threadid=3050
http://www.sim-racer.de/index.php?nav=1&p=...esc=desc&page=1

TVR Synergy, Masserati MC12, BMW M3 GTR, Nissan 350Z, puddles with reflections when wet, as well as motion blur in some of the shots. Now if they add the Aston Martin DBR9 which they are currently modelling on the SimBin website, and they can tweak the sound just a little bit more to sound like these beauties (1,2,3,4 right click+save target) then I can die a happy chappy. (After playing it of course!)

Pretty damn fancy looking. Do they still have keyboard/digital steering and braking support?

I'm pretty sure a steering wheel won't be 'mandatory' but I find it a little difficult to control with a keyboard to say the least! I would recommend a Logitech Driving Force Pro or MOMO Racing, but maybe not just for one game as they're pretty expensive. :P The DFP at least works with PS2 as well (and maybe 3). If you then have another 70-100 quid spare lying around, go for a TrackIR:Pro too! :P (I haven't yet...)

Also I just thought, I really hope that motion blur hasn't been photoshopped in.

I got Track IR Pro only for IL2 but works great for GTR. Hopefully they idn't n00bify GTR2 for a larger audience.
GTRmight not be the best looking Racing game but sure is the finest. now where was that damn engine start button again?....

Yea I really want to get a TrackIR thingy, it's kinda like a head version of the Revolution wireless jobby. They should implement it into Mario, so you can make him jump by nodding ferociously. Die goomba, yes, uhuh, affirmatiiive...

And if SimBin and Blimey sellout with this to start making FIA GTR 2007//8/9/etc I would lose hope in humanity! ..I'm sure EA would love to buy up that license now. :P

Hi,

GTR is for me the best racing experience yet. I'm still playing it. GTR 2 looks very promising...but I think you will need a top notch machine to run it at full detail ! I didn't had the time to see what are the big improvements on this new release, but I hope that gameplaying was their top objectiv. The only "problem" with this kind of games (simulations), is that being so difficult to drive no one comes online to race. Yes, we see some people in the beggining, when the game comes out, but then after a few months they just disappeer. And simple there's no fun racing alone...

Latelly I found a good racing simulation, witch take me most of my spare time. I'm talking about LFS (Live For Speed). Being in devellopment for some years now, theres allways a lot of people online to race with. In my opinion it's as real as GTR, and so difficult to drive as GTR, but it has the advantage that you can download a demo and play it online with other demo racers (limited to a circuit and some variations of it and some cars), and then if you decide to buy it, you just have to pay for a licence wich allow you to unllock all the cars and circuits. That, will cost you less than the actual price you could pay for it in the stores. I think that is a very clean way of doing business. And seeing the problems that people are taking on their systems because of some kind of copy protection, LFS develloppers found a effectiv way to certify that you've payed for the game you play, without the needing for copy protections that stay in your system and make it work slugish...

I'll keep an eye on GTR 2 and look forward to try the demo...

If you can run rFactor or GTL (GT Legends) GTR2 shouldnt be too much different.. they are all using gMotor2 gfx engine.. the rFactor engine made be ISI.. so maybe go download the GTL demo to see how that runs on your system.. should give you a good idea. At least untill a demo for GTR2 is out..

cant wait btw.. i thought rF was going to kill everything for me.. but i just dont get the feel for the cars in rF as what i did GTR.. bring it on.
