Contests you would like to see on GH

i third that, but im going to get the game anyway, so scrap it. something that makes oblivion work better, hehe.

I suggest making the contests more accessible to complete IT-nitwits, such as myself. Alot of the contests require e.g. photoshop-skills or knowledge about making sigs, banners, posters while not everyone can do this. Contests that require writing a poem, a witty one-liner, or the name-a-WoW-character-contest are accessible to everyone.
So, more creativity on the contest itself, not just on the prizes!

Really contests are awesome !

How about a contest where the prize is they get to do some kinda "Day in the Life of GH" and they get to interview someone in the gaming industry?

Me: Uhm... uhh... so what do you think of... uhh...
PM: Yes?
Me: I like... pong.
PM: Pong, really?
Me: Yeah... you have anything to do with pong?
PM: No.
Me: Okay. Pacman?
PM: No.
Me: I really loved Q-Bert.
PM: *sigh*
Me: You should bring back Q-Bert.
PM: I don't even kno--
Me: With a pong minigame.
PM: With Pacman as the ball?
Me: Yeah! THAT WOULD RULE!
PM: *hangs up*

Okay so maybe its not as good of an idea as I thought it was.

Computer parts, and do another xbox360 contest, and this time let me win it and not fycus

I thought most of the prizes were from sponsors and stuff, so GH wouldn't get to choose what the prize was...but, if you do get to choose, I like PC games, computer parts, and gadgets (like the Neuros MP4 recorder). PC games preferably wouldn't be MMO's...I don't consider it winning much if I still have to spend $100 per year just to play it.

Though, I mean, if you guys could get another X360 or PS3 or Revolution, of course I wouldn't complain... B)

An idea I just thought of from the GS forums...sorta like that WOW one a little while back with the create-a-character thing...make it create-a-weapon for a shooter or create-a-car for a racing game or create-a-unit for an RTS. The credit would mostly be given through a verbal description, though a rudimentary picture could be used...I just think it should be down to who can make the best idea for a weapon, not who can draw their idea best. It's a good balance of research (to find out about the universe the game is set in), creativity, and writing, with a bit of PS thrown in for those who are good at it (a good drawing would obviously earn some extra points).

Over in the Gamespot forums, we've got one cool forum for Bioshock where we're making up weapons like this...very cool and very fun.

Well, that's pretty swell of you...I didn't know you played such a proactive role in the contests. Yet more kudos to the MONKEY!

And, hey, the PS3's no big loss...I'd rather have a 360 or Rev than a PS3.

It may not be too long before we have 20 Gig RAM systems...we've got Quad SLI, there are 4 GHz Processors out there, and you can get at least 4 gigs of RAM right now...some guy had a theory that technology will continue to double itself in half the time...so we should have 20 gigs of RAM in about 2008.

And, if you guys decide to make that contest, make sure the guy who wins it isn't in any debt to the power company...that thing would take something like a 1000-watt power supply. Shuts down the whole block.

Frankly, though, I just like contests...whether prize or not, as long as they're not Photoshop (I can't compete) and nothing for DS, XBOX, or PSP, I'll play. And assuming I'm not feeling lazy that week. :P

i wouldnt mind a gears of war one enter a story or something of that matter and give away copies that would be great :francesco:
