WOW Character Termination

Anyone know how long they wait before they get rid of characters not being used? I heard 2 months but that doesn't seem right...

I think the usual placeholder goes so 3-6 moths after stopped paying.

so you think it goes by payment for the account instead of use of a character?

This is from blizzards own pages :

If your subscription ends and there is no payment information listed on the account then it will become frozen and inaccessible for play. Provided that the characters do not get deleted by the account holder, we will retain all character information on our servers indefinitely.

just checked my account from sept 2005 and it still got my character on it

Also heard from players in game caracter's wont be deleted ..!
