I don't know how many of you have played Savage: The Battle for Newerth but, I can tell you it is a great game and innovative. The sequel, Savage 2: A tortured Soul, will be damn near free! LAN, tute, and AI will all be included in the dl. If you want to play people online, it will cost ya $30 (29.99 to be exact but, what the hell is a penny?) This is something gamers should take advantage of! Here is the news clip. I thought you people might like this as much as I do!

HELL YEAH MONKAY! I loved Savage back in the day

The new one looks awesome, i dont know about you, but im going to preorder soon, so i can get into the beta.

That's really cool of S2 Games. Never played Savage, but I checked it out a bit after those project offset vids first came out. Some of the vids for Savage 2 on their site look very pretty as well.

I was a big Savage fan...I waited forever for this one mod called Tombstone to come out...I remember how much fun it was jumping randomly and sprinting around desperately trying to get my Scout deep into the enemy base (I was a kamikaze).
My brother and I are going to preorder it so we can get into the beta.

Thats... wierd. But worth a look. And I guess thats the big key - enticing folks to take the code for a spin.

I enjoyed the crap out of the demo of the first Savage for a while. They have a pretty good grasp of large team mechanics, imo.

The beta will begin late Monday PST for those who have pre-ordered the game. Tis been a long time coming and I really think it will be worth the wait. Hopefully an open beta will soon follow
