Had My Xbox 360 for bout a month now, super machine i must admit. Last week i read a magazine article about the best gamer scores on XBOX 25,000 points and still rising for the ultimate player, carnt remember his name now but whoa 25,000 points. Im now proudly on 310 points and wanted to show my gamer score on xbox live. Prob is i cant for the life of me figure out how to connect to Xbox live, according to the manual i should be able to connect directly to a modem without having to connect to pc network (bollocks) what kind of modem allows this? then to top it off i tried connecting to my pc like a network setup and AOL say cos im on a silver package i am unable to network unless i upgrade my subscription from £17.99 a month to £24.99 amonth. what a rip off. Any way does anyone know of a modem which allows XBox 360 connect directly to it, it dosent matter about AOL cos im gonna get rid of it. ANY HELP WOUld be greatly appriciated. Cheeeeeers

Heh, yea but at least 1000 of that 25000 will be from finishing NFS:MW on easy. :P
I hate AOL for stuff like that! If you change to an ISP that gives you a cable connection and a separate box/modem, then you can plug your 360 directly into that rather than have to route a telephone line connection through your PC (and their dodgy software!). Not sure if you're in the uk or not, but ntl and telewest do that stuff over here. But I think most other adsl ISPs other than AOL have the decency not to restrict console and network usage etc. |
